There is hope in every life!

※Okinawa Teen Challenge Japan is the Okinawa center of Teen Challenge International Japan.

What is “Teen Challenge”?

It is a Christian-based addiction rehabilitation facility that started in New York in 1958. It operates 1000 centers in 90 countries around the world and has achieved an amazing rehabilitation rate of 86%. Currently, in Japan, we have centers in Okinawa and Okayama, and we provide support for rehabilitation, reintegration into society for those who feel hopeless and dead end in their lives due to addiction, eating disorders, social withdrawal and many other problems.

About the “Okinawa Teen Challenge”

Okinawa Teen Challenge is a rehabilitation facility in Okinawa. We learn and practice from Bible as a foundation, and also carry out programs that incorporate training, marine leisure, cleaning, etc.

Is it really possible for me to change? Isn’t it just me suffering? Isn’t it too late to get the life I want even if I rehabitate now?

There is no one who doesn’t want a happy life. However, many people who suffer from problems such as addiction cannot have the courage to step into rehabilitation because they cannot have hope for a life that re-walks to a new path of righteousness. We know that there is a chance of happiness left in the lives of such people. Let me help you get a new happy life. The day will surely come when you can laugh from the bottom of your heart.

Introducing the state of the center program

What kind of support style is there?

At Okinawa Teen Challenge, there are various supports such as consultation (free), home support, family support, one-year dormitory support, three-month dormitory support, and internships.

Consultation (free of charge)

We accept consultations by phone and e-mail for those who need support for rehabilitation, and social reintegration, as well as addiction, social withdrawal, and eating disorders. Through consultation, we will be able to think of the best plan for you and the person. In addition, we also provide support to lead the person to rehabilitation for their families.

Home support

Women and those who are unable to be admitted into the dormitory for special reasons can conduct the program at home through counseling by phone or email. (In some cases, it may be supported by the program at facility)

Family support

How will the family face the person? How will the family let the person confront the problem? We will think about such things together and support them. In some cases, we will hold a family meeting and attend as a facilitator.

One-year dormitory type program

Basically, a man with addiction conducts a one-year dormitory life program. ( Currently, women are only available for home support)

Three-month dormitory type program

For those who are unable to participate in the one-year program for special reasons, we offer a three-month introductory course.

Internship

We accept people who are interested in rehabilitation work and provide staff training.

\ Don’t worry about problems alone, please contact us by phone or email first. (free consultation, strict confidentiality) /
